OCTOBER - NOVEMBER 2022
SYLVIE WOZNIAK
Sylvie Wozniak is an artist based in Geneva. She was trained incontemporary dance, plastic expression, calligraphy and Chinese painting. “I paint to access enjoyment, to be moved with the necessaryjoys and pains. I want to see what is hidden and essential, to be surprised bywhat I find in my painting, by what arises between the light and me. Through their dance, I connect two mobile andsuspended forms: the human body and the fabric body. This stop in the movementactivates the idea of the unmeasurable, of the opening for the opening. The empty spaces between the forms give way to our ownvision, losing all figurative values.

YEGAN MAZANDARANI
"PARIAHS"
NOVEMBER 2021
YEGAN MAZANDARANI flew to Donetsk in the Dombass region of Ukraine in 2016, two years after the events that led to the separation of the region from the main land. There he met with the PARIAHS, people from various parts of the world who joined the rebel forces to give their support to what they feel is a fight for freedom.
Yegan Mazandarani focused his camera and shot some of the most beautiful pictures, in black and white, capturing the tensions, conflicts and hopes as well as the difficulties and joys of the day to day life of this unusual group of voluntarily uprooted people, somewhat lost in a foeign conflict they want to make theirs. The result is a stunning collection of photograhs and a beautifully crafted art-book presenting photos and texts.
